What is your "WHY"?

The Importance of Having a Strong "WHY"

If you are eating a Proper Human Diet (PHD) or even considering adopting this lifestyle, having a strong "WHY" can help keep you on track. A "WHY" is the deep personal reason or core purpose that drives lasting lifestyle change. Here are some common motivations:

  • More Energy: Many people seek a diet that provides sustained energy throughout the day.

  • Longevity: A commitment to health can lead to a longer, healthier life.

  • Family: Improving health can positively impact your loved ones and set a good example.

  • Mental Well-being: A proper diet can enhance mood and cognitive function.

Identifying your personal "WHY" can serve as a powerful motivator and help you stay committed to your dietary choices and lifestyle changes.

For me, it was two things... I wanted to be around to see my children and grand children grow up. I also wanted to feel good and have more energy to play with them. Before carnivore, I didn't even have the energy to get up off of the couch most days even though I had to. My knees and joints hurt all the time and I couldn't even walk up a flight of stairs without getting out of breath.

Every single improvement, even small ones, pushed me toward that goal. The goal of getting healthy and having more energy so that hopefully I will be around for a long time to enjoy my family.

What is your "WHY" for a healthy lifestyle change?
